We're back with our Pinup Contest during Car d'lane for 2023! 2023 will bring: - CASH prizes! - PHOTO opportunities! (These are Optional! We do require an image of the Pinup crowned Miss Retro Studio Pinup 2023) * Group Shots of all contestants * Group Shots of each age category group * Individual Shots of 1st-3rd placement in each age category - Possibility of being crowned MISS RETRO STUDIO PINUP 2023! * Beautiful Crown & Sash * Promotional Photo Shoot w/The Retro Studio Includes: - Hair & Makeup - On location shoot w/classic car or rat rod - Use of any digital images used for promotion by The Retro Studio - Crown following years winner - Possible other perks throughout the year Please check-in at The Retro Studio booth no later than time listed next to your age category. There will be 4 age categories. IF there are not at least 4 participants in an age category, categories will be combined. 0-10yrs * Check-in 12:45pm 11-16yrs * Check in 12:30pm 17-29yrs * Check in 12:15pm 30+* Check in 12pm How it works: A panel of judges will score each participant on HAIR- DRESS - MAKEUP and CHARISMA (See descriptions below). We will be omitting the bonus points for fascinator this year, but fascinators will still be included in the HAIR category, so feel free to still include it! Watch the Facebook event page for added details as the contest approaches & feel free to message us with any questions! Here are some tips for the above mentioned categories. MOST IMPORTANTLY we want everyone to have FUN! HAIR - hair should be curled or wavy up-dos are also acceptable. Hair may be worn with victory rolls, loose curls bandannas, hair flowers and other hair accessories. DRESS - Pencil pants, cardigans, big skirts, poodle skirts, wiggle dress, swing dresses, jeans and other garb pertaining to the pinup era. MAKEUP - Red lip, dark eyeliner or strong eyebrows. CHARISMA - Demonstrate pinup ability through grace and charm. We will be looking for BIG smiles, graceful movements and personality.
